Vidulk is an AI-powered video clipping app for iOS and Android. It helps content creators turn long-form videos and audio into viral clips. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

The App requires video credits and image credits to function. Credits are consumed for AI-powered clip detection, transcription, video export, and image generation services.

• Log and Usage Data: interactions with the App, screens viewed, buttons clicked, and time spent.
• Device Information: hardware model, operating system, RAM capacity, and unique device identifiers.

• App Activity: usage metrics, feature interactions, and content consumption.
• Crash Data: app crashes, system activity, and error reports via Firebase Crashlytics.

How We Use Your Information

We use information to operate and improve the App, process your videos, detect clips, generate captions, export videos, provide customer support, communicate service updates, and comply with legal obligations.

Video and Media Processing

When you import a video via URL (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, or other supported platforms), the App resolves the media URL through our server infrastructure. Videos are downloaded directly to your device for on-device processing. We do not permanently store your videos on our servers.

On-device processing includes audio extraction, speech-to-text transcription using on-device AI models, and video export with caption overlays. All video processing happens locally on your device.

AI Features and Data Sent to Third-Party AI Services

Our App uses a combination of on-device AI processing and third-party AI services. The following processing happens entirely on your device and no data is sent externally:

• Speech-to-text transcription (using the on-device Whisper model).
• Text-to-speech voice generation.
• AI image generation and enhancement.
• Video export with caption overlays.

For AI-powered clip detection and transcript enhancement, the App sends transcript data (text with timestamps) and video metadata (title, duration, content type) to OpenAI via our secure server infrastructure. No personal information such as your name, email, user ID, or device identifiers is included in these requests.

Before any data is sent to third-party AI services, the App requires your explicit consent through an “Accept & Enable AI Features” prompt displayed prior to processing.

Third-Party Services

We integrate with third-party services to provide the App:

• OpenAI: AI-powered clip detection and transcript enhancement. Only transcript text and video metadata are sent — no personal information is shared.
• Apple App Store and Google Play: manage subscriptions, in-app billing, and credit purchases.
• Supabase: secure storage and management of user data and authentication.
• RevenueCat: in-app purchase management.
• Firebase: crash reporting and analytics.
• Cloudflare: hosting of AI models and content delivery.
• AWS SES: email delivery for feedback and support communications.
• Cobalt (self-hosted): media URL resolution for social media platforms.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our App and website may use cookies and similar technologies to improve user experience and analyze performance.

Data Retention

We minimize data storage and retain information only as needed to provide the App or comply with law.

• Video Files: source videos are stored locally on your device and can be cleared from the App settings. They are not uploaded to our servers.
• Processing Assets: temporary assets used during video processing are deleted after processing.
• Account/Data Deletion: you may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. Once deleted, it cannot be recovered.
• Credits: your purchase and usage data are stored securely and used solely to fulfill your requests.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data and credits. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and are not liable for unauthorized access or external attacks beyond our reasonable control.

Your Data Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time. You can delete your account directly from the App (Profile → Delete Account), or contact us at support@vidulk.com.

Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under 17.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices evolve. If we make material changes, we will provide notice in the App or by email where appropriate.
